Strategy, commissioning and transformation vacancies

As a new team, we welcome applications from new and experienced commissioners who have a passion for social change and creating positive opportunities for children, young people and families.

.

About the roles

Although our roles are hybrid, you will work across community, school and healthcare settings to build trusting relationships with children, parents and professionals.

You will also work with friendly and supportive colleagues across a close-knit directorate that is inclusive, child-centred and trauma-informed.

People in our strategic commissioning team must:

  • be confident in commissioning within a complex system
  • be able to recognise the multiple, intersecting disadvantages experienced by vulnerable children and families
  • share our passion for bringing together children, families and professionals

About the team

The council is going through a period of change and transformation. As the strategic commissioning team, we can help redesign services so that they:

  • are more responsive to the needs of children and families
  • are evidence based and deliver value for money
  • offer a high quality of service

We aim to embed co-production and co-design in every aspect of commissioning, bringing together children, families, social care, educational and healthcare professionals.
