Health visiting service
Health visitors are nurses or midwives who work with families. They help you to make sure your child is living a healthy lifestyle and advise you on how to keep the child safe from illness up until they are five years old.
There are five scheduled visits over the first five years of your child's life:
- while you are pregnant
- shortly after you have given birth
- when your baby is 6 weeks old
- when your baby is 1 year old
- when your baby is 2 years old
